The doors to the antique lift at the Gran Hotel, Ciudad, Mexico City
At each end of the Atrium thee are these antique lifts. You only ever get to ride in them on arriving at the Hotel as a porter needs to operate them

Behind this their seems to be anundelying move to revive this ancient culture in some form

These people seem to be harking back to a time long past
The snake in stone in Templor Mayor is likely to be Mayan rather than Aztec
Later when visiting ancient Mayan sits we saw the snake's head appear on many of their buildings and structures
The mask shape to these sculptures seem to match Aztec forms we saw in the museum
We think they were waiting to b uplifted to the nearby Musuem
Volcanic rock and a cement based mortar were used to build these structure
Stunning that these ancient people had such advanced building technique and knowledge

The Templor Mayor excavation with the city behind
This dig was adjacent to the main square of Mexico City
Paths stairs and acess ways were all part of the area uncovered
Templor Mayor dig is providing a lot of information about both the Mayan and Aztec people
There seems to be an order to these buildings that raised our interest
This area is close by the area of altars used for sacrafice, of all types

these are small so could be young animals, food, or sadly infants
This appears to be a communal area
Possibly an area of gathering in relation to the religios services
This plant appaerantly is used for the production of Tequila
Large plant used in the production of Mexico national drink

This was an unguided visit so we were soley reliant on the information boars which thankfully had english sections
